Reconstitution & Handling

Our research peptides ship as lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder. Reconstitution is the process of dissolving that powder in a sterile diluent — usually bacteriostatic water — to prepare a stock solution for laboratory research handling.

Reconstituting a vial (general procedure)

  1. Let the vial reach room temperature and wipe the rubber stopper with an alcohol swab.
  2. Draw your chosen volume of bacteriostatic (or sterile) water.
  3. Add the water slowly, letting it run down the inside wall of the vial — never force it directly onto the powder.
  4. Swirl gently to dissolve. Do not shake — peptides are delicate.
  5. Once dissolved, refrigerate and label the vial with the date and concentration.

Reconstitution calculator

Storage & stability

  • Lyophilized powder: store at −20 °C, protected from light — stable long-term.
  • Reconstituted solution: keep refrigerated at 2–8 °C and use within a short period.
  • Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles, which degrade peptides.
  • A batch Certificate of Analysis (COA) and lab results are included with every order.
